The Executioner in the Head
The executioner is an obscure feeling I sometimes have that I've done something wrong a kind of calf caressic dread that I too will go to prison. It comes from a family history my dad was in prison when I was a kid so it was my brother and so was my uncle but the jury's out on shame for me. Can you disinherit shame? And what is shame? Well I'm not sure if it's a teacher or a tyrant actually shame makes us do bad things at least that's what my conversation in prison has led me to think.
