But there's so much values woven in to otherwise it's just manipulation. So if you can do it effectively, then of course you're going to take those skills home. It teaches you to set prioritiesand that's part of what growing up in the work place does. Aalone will help you in a marriage.

This is the portrait of two-career coupledom in much of the popular media. But for a lot of couples, the reality is much rosier. Mutually supportive relationships let us take career risks, help us be more resilient to setbacks, and even “lean in” at work.
