Neuroimaging - The Real Trick Is Interpretation
In the past, a lot of work that sort of helped us understand how human behavior relates to areas of the brain came from patients. So I think what it really is is that with any given set of observations in science, the real trick is interpretation. You and I might both look at a set of patients and we see they have a set of deficits. They're not able to perform certain tasks. And we know that some part of their brain has been damaged or lesioned or is atrophied. We may see that same exact data set in those same patients and come to different conclusions.
