Is Writing Hard for You?

I always know usually a play is just going to be a handful of characters, maybe four or five. But the films are usually more people and landscapes and cinema is hopefully there from the beginning too. So yeah, I always kind of know. Are you strategic about the choices you're making from project to project? For example, did you know that you wanted to return to Ireland after focusing a story in America after three billboards? Really, no, no. I didn't know any of that really. And I wrote this version of the script only like three years ago. It raises an interesting question, which is for someone who's been as prolific as you over the last 25, 30 years
