Is There a Good Reason to Persist in Your Rejection of God? Rooney's Account Is a Good One but It's Not as if God Could Have Withheld the Gift of Existence

Rooney rejects the monocor eternal conscious torment but to me it looks like that scenario you've got an eternal being who is conscious and who is tormented. God could have a good reason to for example allow someone to persist forever in their rejection of God which is actually the same thing as their own eternal torment.
