The Battle of Point to Hock
The second in command of the unit got drunk prior to departure and bottled out and and was arrested so kernal rudder who wasn't due to lead the raid had to take it on up last minute because only he had the specialized knowledge. The battery was neutralized in weeks before the actual landings so when the landings did come in there was no point what i mean as these rangers are scaling the uh the cliff faces with presumably ladders and ropes you know the thing that's missing from the longest day is the duck equipped with fibergared ladders with machine guns mounted on topYeah i mean that must have looked like a circle sack quite frankly because only the poor chap
