The eels produced glow-in-the-dark hula hoops and began twirling them swiftly with their tails. Lambden stared, unthinking as the mesmerizing, beheaded eels, the calming music and the confusion of the bizarre situation slowly overtook him. In the morning, Lambden woke with the sun coming through his still open window. He felt dampness beneath him and realized his bed was covered in sea water,. A tangle of seaweed lay on his pillow. And yet he had to admit. The sleep submarine and its questionable safety record had given him the best sleep of his life.
