The Dose Depends on Injury
A concussion is a form of mild traumatic brain injury. What's actually happening in the brain is much harder to answer at the moment. We just don't really know with great confidence but what we think it underlies is that the brain twists inside the skull. The more head trauma you get, the more prone you are to having problems. Maybe there's some genetic contribution to this as well.
