Charles eisenstein makes a really important point about the focusing on carbon being problematic. The example he gives is that in a lot of forests in the united states, it was established that something like 50 % of the nitrogen in those forests had come from the oceans. And there's a lot of evidence to suggest that those forests then became much more susceptible to forest fires. So i overall carbon terms, if you takea really narrow focus on carbon, it can result in a much bigger carbon problem.
