Robotics and Humanoid Robots - What's Next?

There are going to be occasions when it's the human form that is really important and critical for a particular application. We have not emphasized making really realistic human robots, because that's hard. When we want to go for mass adoption, when these robots are in use, we're going to want to have some thing that conveys emotion carrying and communion with the other person. You don't need a full human like avatar to have people react with some emotion. This is actually an interesting research area.
