"I've now probably been dealing with the pain for like 12 years, but throughout the process, I definitely would have had very high psychosocial scores," he says. "There's a learning curve with hip or a thoroscopy and, and you know, original studies talked about 25 to 30 surgeries need to be done." The state of New York has only six surgeons that were doing surgery on FAI patients in 2010. That number is expected to grow as more people get older.
