The FONing Response as a Stress Response

Ask yourself, what is this response trying to protect me from? And then follow it up with, okay, do I need to be protected from this? So here's an example. In a situation where I'm at work, I'm navigating a power dynamic. I don't have organizational support. I might need the FON response. But if I go back to those two questions in another instance, and for example, I ask myself, What is this response Trying to Protect Me From? It's trying to protection me from asking a question that would reveal I'm not an expert on this topic. Don't you think that these people over here did such a horrible job? You know what
