Is Offstead Doing the Right Things?

Teacher workload has intensified to twice the extent of any other profession since 2000. Teachers work most unpaid overtime, typical working weeks of 55 to 60 hours a week under intense pressure. If we're going to really tackle that then we have to look at the accountability system and the government's been very reluctant to do that. The argument for an inspection regime that's quite robust is what gives parents confidence that their children are being taught really well.
