Christian: I think one of the things that people usually assume is that it's either skill or luck, right? Christian: Serendipity is really these are people who worked really hard to be lucky. He says we've for a long time seen the unexpected and serendipity as something that happens to us because maybe we didn't have a clear plan but there was something there. "I'm a big fan of getting like rid of this illusion of control," he says.
