The Importance of Complication in Scripts

Jimmy George: Every nine out of 10 scripts I read, all of the victories that the characters achieve happened with almost little or no complication. This movie makes every single scenario as hard as it can be. The number one note I make on all scripts that I read is for the love of God Make it harder. It couldn't be easier. And what happens is you as an audience are unsatisfied because you're like, if I could fucking do it myself, then like, why should I be watching somebody else do it? You know what I mean? Why is it a story at all? Right?"
