The Essence of Cartooning
I wanted to be a newspaper cartist. The truth is, i didn't really have the chops. I could see that a brook brethed or a charles sholtzer, you know, bill waterson, that they were fine artists,. and i was not, and i couldn't become one either. But in doing so, i really ernd about the essence of cartooning. It's trying to use as few lines as possible to make the biggest possible impact. You put, you wanta, putting the book on line. That's how it gets out to the world first.
