Some catalytic converters have gone up tenfold to more than 18,000 in 2021 in California. Inflation and the economy has made it more difficult to find parts like any sort of these types of materials. The other reason is that the pandemic has exacerbated income inequality. It actually doesn't take very much to get one of these catalytic converter from underneath people's cars.
