How Long Does It Take to Develop an Intrstructureas Code Project?

In your book, you provide some estimates for how long it takes to develop intrstructureas code projects from scratch. On first reading these, they seemed rather large. But i also can't help thinking that it really shouldn't take that long. And larger companies usually a whole lot more. 24 months, 36 months would be pretty normal.
