Tim McVay blew up the Alfred P. Borra federal building with his army buddy, Terry Nichols. It was seen by very many people on the far-right as a kind of thrilling, if a bit wild and bloody, strike back at the government. Propagandaists and conspiracy theorists began to develop theories of what had really happened in Oklahoma City.
