The Gospel of Grace Is Not a Privatized Thing, but a Horizontal Dimension to It

Paul is letting us know that the problem of the human condition is that we are dead and need to be made alive. And so Paul lets us know that something has happened in Jesus Christ. We have been made alive in him. We now have access to the Father, amen. The cross is a sledgehammer that tears down walls that separate us. It's very easy to see in these tracks that people used to give out that God is on one side, humanity's on the other. But when salvation is simply about our own individualized relationship with God, we cheapen what the gospel really is.
