Display length is an external driver. It uses screen recording to send data out as data packets over thunderbolts instead of using data display control protocol. Steve McWey writes, I have two 24-inch HP monitors running off of base model M1 Air using the wavelength USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter. And finally, Leor Shikade says, yes, display length is an External Driver. But at the end of the day, it does the job of connecting multiple external displays to M1 slash M2 Macs.
