The judgment in this case will not change Montana's fossil fuel economy. A lot of people think that the money being used for the courts to fight this and the state to fight this could be better used elsewhere. But there's also a lot of people that understand Montana's environment as a key resource who really want to make sure that that is maintained and improved, he says.

Held v. Montana, a first-of-its-kind climate lawsuit, pits young people — and their constitutionally enshrined right to a clean environment — against a state with pro-fossil fuel policies.
