Photographing Monuments

The trigger for Hill and Adamson, in fact, was a schism in the Church of Scotland. There's a whole load of images where groups of ministers and their presbytries are gathered together. And then Hill realises the potential of this and realises that they can photograph ancient monuments. Then they go down to New Haven, which is a local fishing port, and they photograph the local fish wives.
