The Importance of Privacy and Security in New Zealand

New Zealand is falling behind when it's coming to privacy and security. We led the way back in 1996 our privacy act was kind of forging ahead but definitely our privacy standards are far weaker than say the likes of GDPR out of Europe or you know the CCPA and things. Even in Australia there's a huge wave I mean they're getting targeted a lot with data breach news, so we haven't seen that as much here. Part of that's maybe because of the size of our population when not as big a target because it's almost looking for a big data setyou know well.
