The Bandwagon Effect and the Church's Truthfulness
The band, the bandwagon effect tells us that Mike. This is another cognitive bias where we adapt to the church's teaching because of our families and leaders all accepting these teachings. And so on the flip side, this is also used by leaders as evidence of the church's truthfulness. If you were to say the Book of Mormon is demonstrably a 19th century document that is not historical, a response you'll often hear is why have millions of people found comfort in spiritual witness from it?
