Is Rick Scott Wrong on Social Security and Medicare?

Rick Scott's reversal on Medicare and Social Security can only be interpreted as a huge political victory for Joe Biden. The politics were so bad that Mitch McConnell took pains to clarify, there will be no entitlement cuts as part of the debt ceiling negotiation. It does seem that everyone who ever talks about using all the tools to address our national debt and our budget deficit must have really bad motives. They're either venal or cruel.
