The Atonement Cover in the Septugen
In three 25 paul identifies christ as the hilasterion, which is translated a number of different ways in your english translations. Hilasterion in the septugen is the translation for the atonment cover, or for the mercy seat. So when paul says that christ is put forward as our hilosterion, then if you know your septugen, it's impossible not to hear that as christ being that very seat of atonement. How could you possibly miss it? Oye, i don't know why english translations, allotum anyway, don't translate it a as mercesed or place of atonement,. They often will choose other other language
