Think expiation is beautiful, expoliating your skin when you're washing your face. Its a cleansing. Yes, tasion is beautiful, and it's part of the gospel, but it's not what the word is. And all this relates to what we would call the doctrine of imputation of sin. The cross is mercy, but also justice. Justice on jesus, mercy for us.
