The Value of a Cooperative Partner

The value a cooperative partner presents to someone is a function of are they willing to share what they have and can they get resources to share with in the first place. We might use concepts like fairness or generosity to describe willingness to cooperate. In most you know western sort of samples or in industrialized samples that people have studied these sorts of issues a willingness to cooperate is a very important indicator of cooperative value, he says. The criteria people rely on varies across societies and depends on I don't know for example the ecological conditions people live in or not yeah so that's a major focus of my previous research with the Hadza.
