Seeing a Doppelganger in the Eyes?
The fusiform gyrus is a place in the brain that's strictly for recognizing faces. When people were given an electric current, their perception of what they look like was transformed. A follow up study recruited some participants who had never seen human face ever with their eyes and gave them models of 3D Models of Faces. Their brains are kind of attuned to look for faces everywhere because our brains are so used to looking at each other.
