The Future of Brain-Computer Interfaces
The first report of a human implant was in 2006 by Lee Hockberg and colleagues in Nature. The breakthrough early research device is a series of needles that sit on a base. But what's really amazing about this is that for BCIs, we already know that devices can be left inside a body.
