i was actually just reading some interesting research into this, in the way that children solve problems. They've found all these ways in which children compensate for their problem solving deficiencies. Children have an innate ability to develop on the fly kind of short cuts to solving problems. Andye i think that when i look at people who are really good at navigating change, ultimately what i see are people who have been able to distance themselves from what they think is the only way to do something. Because that destroys us as a society.
Are you struggling to adapt to a recent change in your life or business? No matter what your personality type, research shows that people move through 4 stages when a massive disruption occurs: 1) Panic 2) Adaptation 3) New Normal 4) An “I wouldn’t go back” moment where you no longer wish for the old normal. Your adaptability depends on how efficiently you can move through those four phases and how much belief you have that your “I wouldn’t go back” moment is coming.
