Optimizing for Complexity in the Experimental Design

A lot of people who push back on the machine learning approach dismiss it potentially as data mining. For many simplicity is more robust and we don't want to use a complex approach because it's inherently more fragile, you say. In an environment where there is extremely slow learning, it's dominated by randomness, it's virtually impossible to identify and make decisions about cause effect relationships. The best approach is to identify a very large number of independent agents.
