In the late 90s, the FBI first began investigating Lardi after rumors emerged that he was using his San Diego club to launder money for drug dealers. However, during its course, the FBI caught Galardi saying, quote, I own every county commissioner in Vegas right now. And with that, this new operation, this new FBI endeavor is born and it's called Operation G-Sting.
