How to Prepare for a Lightning Talk

There's a separate form that you can now submit for lightning talks to go to go for con in San Diego. I think lightning talks are a great way to get introduced as a public speaker because but the one advice I would give you is focus one one thing only and really polish that message. The preparation is very similar, but you just need to rehearse a lot more to get it really crisp. We also do lightning talks at meetups. Usually lightning talks are in the 10 minute range. So then you can maybe cut down to seven minutes.
