A real relation involves substances having an accidental property as ated with the relation. So if i have a son, 'm going to have the accidental property of being a father, and then my child's going t be a son. And so we each have this sort of accidental property that grounds the relation. Now thereisreis something called a mixed relation, where only one being is really related to the other but that other being is notreally related to the first. Theists like catherine rogers think that this no real relations doctrine is just incredibly bizarre and think that it ought to be rejected.
