Spinal Spira Failure
When I have spirals that fail it's because I have a false return of what I believe to be cerebral spinal fluid and so when I inject local Aztec for infiltration to numb the skin I'll inject in the subcutaneous and deeper tissues. When I hook up my syringe with local Aztec and try to aspirate I will get some birefringence but sometimes it's not exactly smooth aspiration like I would expect. But I would say that the majority of fail-spiles are due to operator error.
