The Historical Context of the Ukrainian War
There were Ukrainians, nationalist Ukrainians and some of those nationalist Ukrainians fought alongside the Nazis. Is that a significant issue or is it almost irrelevant in the sense that the Russian state would create a narrative? But it is certainly convenient for Putin that he can draw on those historical facts. And so I think from that perspective this is an entire part of history that Putin now is completely ignoring apart from all the other obvious disconnects really between Certainly the reality in which we live and the reality that we perceive.
