Father Bonametra is being super-tomistic, especially in this example of motion. St. Thomas and other Thomas like to use the word that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are a motus,. But as he rightly points out, as Father is rightly pointed out, it's an external motor. And so in that way, the sail which catches the wind is a motus is the thing that moves the ship. Oh my goodness, this is a reprise of boats and boating. Because again, shall I say that I win again because sailing beats out stupid motor boating, which is like the true principles.
