JavaScript C++ - Understanding Polyfills
The purpose of polyfills is that the language was shipped out very quickly. It had to persist in browsers. The other thing, and this wasn't in our top 10, but I'm going to heart to it for a minute, where it's actually a syntactic change that your browser just isn't going to understand. And so understanding why we have both of those things, and the process that TC39 goes through to make changes to the language are more important than what we're talking about now with feature detection and how they work.
