Oedipus and the Double Effect
Oedipus would understand himself as not being culpable. He is not culpable for that action because he did not intend it and he had no way of foreseeing that. The good effect in the context of Oedipus is what he just is able to rule Thebes. Well, I'd have to fuck my mother, but on the other hand, I could use these. In this case, it's a related to a different category of discussion. So it's not a double effect question. Right?
