The book is meant to be scientifically rigorous. There are many scientific explanations for why we can apparently perceive a stopped second hand on a clock face. When when one does it themselves and they experience it, it's meant to change their framing of time. And then applying that in all these ways to create our day, to reverse the past, to reverse negative feelings, to essentially manifest, through the lens of time, a life that we want.
