I don't believe that the fighting would cease even if the government and Keve said stop fighting. The stability of the Zalinski government would be in doubt, because there's just no appetite for it. And I also wonder how our allies on the frontier would react to a peace deal with Russia. They might put pressure on the alliance or maybe even take matters into their own hands.
