Hutchings vs Low
Hutchings versus low affirmed the constitutionality of national parks created from public lands, set a legal precedent. The case would prove to be one of the most important moments for conservation in american history. In 18 89, at the age of 75, he once again took up the reins as guardian of yosemite. He would eventually retire, happily, in 18 97 and pass away shortly before his 96 birthday with his daughter by his bedside in oakland.
