The Role of the Federal Judiciary in Rucho

The North Carolina Supreme Court held that the legislative defendants violated state law beyond a reasonable doubt by enacting maps. The court acknowledged our decision in Rucho versus Common Cause, which held that partisan gerrymandering claims present political questions beyond the reach of federal courts. And we'll come back to that because we're going to be one of the things that is left something not as open, but less close than others in this case,. But we'll get back to that.
