I think of a woman named Diane G. She didn't want her last name used. And she had been raised in the church, church of the Four Square Gospel,. which is a conservative church. Instead, she studies QAnon. She studies Gnosticism. She studies Trump. and she's not a stupid woman at all. I mean, the math she could do in her head with numeral, she I can't do. But she had been swept up into this belief system. The rhetorical mode that I would argue is a kind of a central rhetorical mode of fascism, which allows it to kind of creep into democracy. It begins with buffoonery. It ends with tragedy
