In a world that's increasingly virtual, can you be fully present to people when they're not standing in front of you? That's a great question. My temptation is to say, no, not quite, which is not to invalidate something like what we're doing right now. I did notice early on during the pandemic when everything went on to Zoom, and people were sort of talking about why they were so tired after zooming for eight hours. Sometimes the best we could do is just be with a person to give our presence, not our words.
