Anonymous: Hello. I’m wondering what your thoughts are on neuromechanical therapy, where a therapist guides you through important situations from your life or even before you were born in your mother’s belly and how it’s impacted your body and its responses to stress and such while tapping on certain points or pressing on them, etc. Thank you Liz: I just received your book & 3 home tests. I’ve had a fibromyalgia and Hashimotos diagnosis since giving birth to my last child at 39.5 years old. This child was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 3 month before her 3rd birthday. I am really excited to begin my journey of taking my health back and healing my body! My question is, after reading the section about Th1 Immune System Dominance, if it’s possible to improve or reverse Hashimotos, can the same happen with T1D? I’ve never heard of anyone reversing this disease. Her grandmother is also T1 and I have always heard there is nothing anyone can do to heal from this, just treat it. I just wanted your take on this particular disease & if you can point me to some more research for T1D & a functional medicine approach if there is one. Thank you! Al: Dr. Cabral. I don’t have any real health or weight issues and would like to support my body to stay that way. Once a year, I do AIP dietary protocol (just fish, poultry, broth, vegetables, low-glycemic fruits, olive & coconut oil) for a month, but no supplements. Could you please suggest annual supplements that are the most economical for a healthy male in early 40’s. Could herbs like milk thistle, dandelion, NAC (for liver support), oregano, thyme, clove oils (for anti-bacterial/parasitic support) and maybe chlorella (for heavy metal detox) be taken together during that one month of AIP annually? Or would it be better to take some during AIP and others in a different time of a year? I eat and live clean during the whole year, but don’t have funds for any labs. Please advise, thank you. Jennifer: I have both RA and AS. Is this rare to have 2 rheumatic diseases? Have you treated anyone with both? I’m about to purchase the Big 5 and start that journey. Carnivore worked great… for a while. I eat very clean and exercise. No excess weight, highly muscular Chris: I was recently diagnosed w/osteoporosis and ortho dr is advising Forteo daily injections. Currently I am considered high risk as I've broken 3 bones in last yr & half. I am looking for other ways at this time than synthetic meds, tryin to find a more natural/holistic way of building back new bones cells. Do you know of any natural ways to do this? All of my labs (calcium, minerals, vit D, thyroid, negative for autoimmune, etc) are all normal. I already eat a clean diet - no fried foods, no fast foods, lots of greens, veggies, protein (both chicken/beef), 24hr urine came back w/high calcium. Im interested in learning of anything new I can potentially do vs injections. What are your thoughts on acupuncture?thank you
