Introduction

The Shadow of the Cross is a painting that really was not only done by Holman Hunt, but he actually brought Him into international fame. In this painting we see a youthful Jesus who is working at His Father's carpentry shop. And yet here He is tired, fatigued, having done carpentry all day long. Here are some words from Colossians chapter 2 beginning in verse 13: God made alive together with Him, having forgiven us our trespasses.
