The Moral Argument Against Grandstanding
Aaron Carroll: In moral theory, we can assess a moral agent based on what they do in the world. He says grandstanding has consequences but also depends on subjective requirements that it must be done with intent. "No one would argue that lying is not wrong," he says; lies have worse consequences than just saying something false. 'You don't lie just because you say something false,' Carroll adds.
